Terms of service
Last updated: October 20, 2026
These terms provide a general overview of the basic rules for using The Invoice Generator app.
The Invoice Generator is run by Sathya Narayanan, a sole proprietor, trading as The Invoice Generator ("we", "us"). When you use the app, your agreement is with us.
Acceptance
By accessing or using The Invoice Generator, you agree to these terms and to related policies presented in the app. If you do not agree, you should not continue using the service.
You should use the app only for lawful business purposes and only with authority to manage the account or workspace involved.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure, maintaining accurate account information, and limiting workspace access to people you authorize.
You are also responsible for activity that occurs through your account or workspace.
Permitted use and restrictions
You may use the service to manage invoices, estimates, clients, items, and related business records. You may not misuse the service or use it in a way that harms the app or other people.
- Do not upload unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or malicious content.
- Do not attempt to bypass security, interfere with the service, or access data that is not yours.
- Do not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse the app in ways that are not authorized.
Emailing your clients
When you send an invoice or estimate through the app, it goes out as "Your Business via The Invoice Generator", and replies go to your business email.
- Only send documents to people you do business with, who expect to hear from you.
- Do not use the app to send marketing, bulk, unsolicited or misleading email, or to impersonate anyone.
- We limit how many emails an account can send, and we may pause sending for an account whose emails bounce or are reported as spam unusually often.
Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, billing, sales tax and receipts for paid plans, and Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- New accounts start with a free 14-day Pro trial that doesn't need a payment method. If you don't choose a paid plan by the end of it, your account moves to the Free plan.
- You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for and then doesn't renew.
- Prices are shown before tax. Paddle adds any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live at checkout.
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We'll tell you before a change applies to your plan.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund policy.
Your information and responsibility
You remain responsible for the legality, accuracy, and completeness of the information you enter, upload, or send through the service.
You are also responsible for making sure your use of the app fits the laws, rules, and obligations that apply to your business.
Third-party services
Some parts of the app may interact with third-party providers or link to outside services. Those services operate under their own terms and practices, and we are not responsible for services we do not control.
Service changes, suspension, and termination
We may update, improve, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service over time, including when needed for maintenance, security, or product changes.
We may suspend or terminate access if use of the service violates these terms, if payment for a paid plan fails and isn't resolved, or if use of the service creates security, fraud or other risk for the app or others.
App ownership and feedback
The app interface, software, and related service materials remain the property of Sathya Narayanan (The Invoice Generator) or its licensors. Your own business records and document content remain yours.
If you share product feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the app.
Disclaimers and limits
The app is provided on a general business-software basis. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every legal, tax, accounting, or operational need.
You should review important documents before sending them to clients, and you remain responsible for the business decisions and communications you make using the app.
Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and update the date shown above.
